Do you know what April 22nd is?
IT’S EARTH DAY! On earth day we all have to do things to save the earth and not just on Earth Day, but everyday. You can recycle, clean up the litter in your neighborhood, plant a tree and I even have tips for you to use that you probably didn’t even know about. Wash your clothes in cold water. Washing you clothes in warm water doesn’t make them any cleaner, but just uses more energy. Don’t have your parents turn on the car on cold days if you’re not in it at the moment. They say that they’re just warming up the car, but it’s just polluting the air more. Change all your light bulbs to florescent light bulbs (The curly ones). You probably know this, but did you know that the curly fluorescent light bulbs last up to 10 times longer than regular light bulbs; they use less energy. If you’re not using your lights in a room, don’t just turn them off; unplug them. When you’re brushing your teeth turn off the water. Also try taking a 5 minute shower. It saves water and warm water. Recycle everything from cardboard cereal boxes, tissue boxes and anything that you can recycle, RECYCLE IT! Here’s a tip for all you people who have to have perfect hair. The next time you go to get another can of hair spray, try looking for some environmentally friendly hair spray. Did you know that when you use a regular can of hair spray you contribute to 15% of Global Warming? Cut Down! Do everything you can to save the earth and make everyday Earth Day.
