On August 8th 2010 in Macedonia the world record for the largest pot of baked beans was attempted. Chef Guipeo Gievski and his five assistance started to add ingredients to into the dish; they put in 400kg of beans and a massive 2,600 liters of water. They also put in 50kg of onions 9kg of salt, 200kg bacon, 7kg of spices, 4kg grinded pepper, 1kg peppercorns, 4kg red grounded pepper, 70 liters of oil, 50 bundles of parsley and 5 bundles of mint. Wow that’s a lot of ingredients! In order to measure the volume of the beans in liters the chef and his team of assistance hade came up with a measuring tool, that measures every thousand liters .Chef then placed the gigantic tool in the dish near the end of cooking time was reported, the record was 3150 liters of baked beans, making it a world record, now that’s a belly full.
