The huge toast mosaic contained a massive 9,852 slices of toast. The toast mosaic was made in honor of a woman named Sandra Whitfield 50th birthday by her daughter in law Laura Hadland, the mosaic was put together by HTC Wildfire. Laura and 40 Facebook friends helped create the mosaic. It took 600 loaves of bread toasted to complete the masterpiece. The huge toast mosaic was officially named the worlds largest on October 17 2010 by the Guinness World Records. Mrs. Whitfield a mother of two cried when she saw the amazing birthday gift. Laura states ‘I am thrilled that my best mates in real and virtual life were able to come together and make our mark in history. Personally I don’t know how they were able to make such a remarkable sculpture with just toast, and SECONDLY what will they do when the toast gets old and expires?’ OKN!
