South Koreas Ministry of science says that they have cloned cats that have been altered so they can glow in the dark! A research team at Gyeongsang national university produced several kitty clones in both January and February. The researchers said they took some skin cells from a Turkish Angora female cat and used a virus to insert the genetic instructions for making the red florescent protein. Then they put the altered nuclei into the eggs, finally four kittens were born. The kitten’s skin cells can now glow under ultraviolet light! I have to say I think this is a ground breaking discovery that this is truly a ground breaking discovery and that later in the future there might be glow in the dark dogs OKN.
