ALL TIED UP!
At Lake Cumberland 1,651 boats were successfully tied up one continuous formation. The first record of the largest tie up was in 1998, the record was broken more than five times in the next six years. The record stood strong until 2004 at a whopping 1,453 boats. Wow that’s alot of boats! With only 90 days of planning, LCA crushed the previous record. With the heat souring up to 105 degrees everyone found the waters of lake cucumber land refuge to get cool. The most fantastic part of the event was the constant rush of the participants; the organizers stated that 400 boats had signed a part in the attempt two weeks before the event date. A crazy rush of more than 1,200 registers had brought great boats of all different shapes and sizes. I don’t think anyone will be breaking this record any time soon OKN.
