Laregest cup of iced

It was a hot day in Tulsa Oklahoma; it was a fantastic day for a nice tall glass of ice tea. The Chick-fil-a owner Arthur Greeno and his crew were happy to oblige. The team set a record back in 2008 with the largest glass of soda. This year the Chick-fil-a team wanted to construct the cup of tea, at nine feet tall, but that’s not all the team hade to worry about. They also had to worry about seventy two pounds of a Chick-fil-a tea bag. They say that extracting the bag after brewing was the day’s greatest taste which is now complete. The added weight of the boiling water on top of the bag required a fork lift to safely lift the bag out of the cup. Once that was done it was time to add 1,150 pounds of sugar.

Wow, that is allot of sugar! After the sugar was added, they filled the cup with more water. Finally after a very long process of about 3 hours, it was time to get the official measurement of this huge tea’s volume. Professionals had determined that the goal volume of 200 gallons would be possible. The next thing they had to do was to bring the temperature in the cup down to an icy (45F) so it can truly be iced tea. The entire team started passing giant ice cubes out of a refrigerated truck. Once they put the giant ice cubes in the truck, the tea was a refreshing (33F). I don’t think I could finish all that ice tea by myself! OKN.
