 On August 18, 2008, the day after the Opening Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, twin giant panda bears were born. They were born at the Chengdu Panda Base and were considered a lucky charm and prayer for China's athletes. They were named BeBe and HuanHuan. They are two of the eight cubs born at the Panda base since July. They are expecting another cub in the next few months.
