On Dec 31, 2010, five homes were completely destroyed and nearly seventy other homes were damaged in the Highland after devastating mudslides. The water and mud rushed through the foothill town last week. The total damage including the cost of cleanup and lost properties value equals seventeen point two million dollars. Luckily they had lots of volunteers from the church and prison inmates that grabbed their shovels to help with the cleanup. The outside was unstable; it was all covered in plastic while as many as six hundred volunteers worked to clear the roads. They had laid sandbags to remove future water flows. Well that one interesting story, thanks for reading. OKN!!
