If you go to the actual lake in the Dismal Swamp, several things will happen.
You will have to walk four and a half miles to get to the actual lake
 You will see beautiful wildlife
 You will see beautiful trees
You will probably not stay near the lake very long, so the four and a half mile walk there won't be worth it if you do not want to see the lake and do not appreciate nature and find it interesting
You will walk four and a half miles back
You will be very tired from all of that walking
You probably lose a lot of calories from your nine mile walk
You will have a wonderful memory and experience of the swamp George Washington surveyed.
