Do you know how small the world’s smallest monkey is? The smallest type of all monkeys is pygmy marmosets. Their body size is about the size of adult hand. Wow that's small for a monkey. If you don't know about the size of an adults hand it is about (5.5 in/14cm). The monkey’s body length ranges from 14 to 16 centimeters (5.5 to 6.3 in) (excluding the 15-to-20-centimetre (5.9 to 7.9 in) tail). Males weigh around 140 grams (4.9 oz), and females only 120 grams (4.2 oz). Most animals can't eat off of the highest trees were the branches are week but a pygmy marmoset monkey can! They have very cute nicknames like, mono de bolsillo ("pocket monkey") and leoncito ("little lion").
