Check this out, I went to Hollis famous Burgers in Queens, New York and it was an awesome place to visit. It’s literally a Hip Hop museum with all the old school rappers platinum records in there such as, Run DMC, LL cool J, Jah Rule, Lost Boys, and they are about to have Salt ‘n’ Pepa’s album too. They have Pictures of all the old school rappers, they have LL Cool J’s 1st official kangol hat and they have his first boom box from his video My Radio in there too. They have the jackets that Dr. Dre and Ed Lover wore in the movie Who’s The Man? They have a line of Adidas shell toe sneakers, all signed by celebrities like Snoop Dogg. Jim Jones and a whole lot more. You should visit there if you live in New York. Make sure you check the fantastic seafood every Saturday and Soul food every Sunday. During the week they have the best turkey burger meal with great kids specials and a whole lot more great stuff to choose from. The owner of this restaurant is Orville Hall.
On Saturday September 11,2010 I was at a special event put together by Orville Hall, honoring Hip Hop icon Russell Simmons, presenting him with his own tiled star which will be placed on the sidewalk of Hollis Avenue in Queens where he was born and raised for his contribution to Hip Hop and the community. Along with Russell honorees include, the founders of the largest urban clothing line F.U.B.U. Also honored was, Ed Lover and Run DMC. Other honorees will later include LL Cool J, Salt ‘n’ Pepa, Jah Rule, Lost Boys, 50 cent, Nas, Mobb Deep and so on… The walk of fame was created by Orville is like the walk of fame in Hollywood California. This will give Hip Hop a place to remember where it came from, and where it will go. Hip Hop started in New York and now has a place to be remembered…-Aniya-
