Radio Disney AM 640 Presents Jordan Pruitt!!
The clouds were rolling in but they disappeared when Jordan Pruitt started singing on stage. The Disney performer sang to a crowd of kids like me and their parents, in Wildwood, New Jersey. Kids were standing up, swaying from side to side and clapping to the beat. Jordan’s music was very cool and easy to sing along too. I was ready to start downloading and requesting her songs as soon as I heard her sing songs from her album coming out on August 26th. At the end of her last performance, Jordan answered a few questions for ourkidsnews.com Kid Correspondents, like you. Here’s what Jordan had to say…
OK: How would you describe yourself and your music?
JP: I am a real wholesome girl, whose parents brought up with good morals and values. I choose to be a really good role model for all my fans and describe my music as pop soul.
OK: I read on your my space page, that you began performing at age 4. Were you scared when you performed at age 4?
JP: Yes, I began singing at age four and it was scary the first time I sang Jesus Loves Me in church.
OK: Did you really start writing music in the sixth grade?
JP: Yes, I wrote music even before sixth grade. I wrote my first really good song at twelve years old.
OK: What is it like having the same full name as your best friend?
JP: It’s cool having the same name as your best friend. When my best friend stays over, my Dad will call out Jordan and we both come running down the stairs. It’s very fun and very cool to have a best friend with the name Jordan.
OK: What are two of your favorite things to do for fun when you are not performing?
JP: My favorite things to do would be to hang out with my family, go to Wednesday night church service and go shopping.
OK: That’s three things. Cool.
OK: Your album, Permission to Fly is coming out on August 26th. Did you have fun making the album and what is your favorite song on the album?
JP: All of my songs on the album are my favorites, but my favorite song is “I wanna go back”. I had a lot of fun making the album, which I wrote and recorded in three months. It was quick and done with my heart in it.
OK: What would you like to tell your fans about you, that you don’t think they know yet.
JP:(With a big smile and playful giggle, Jordan says) One thing I would tell my fans that they do not know yet is that I am a world class belcher.
That wrapped up our interview with Jordan Pruitt. During her performance, Jordan told the crowd that we can make her number one by downloading her songs on iTunes and requesting her songs on Radio Disney. Her songs from the album Permission to Fly were great. We give Jordan five OK stars on her album.
See you next week. OK
